Description

The municipality of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres is located between the sea and the mountains and has a territorial extension of 11.9 km². As of February 2, 2023, the population was 12,108.

It belongs to the Maresme region and borders Mataró to the west, Sant Vicenç de Montalt to the east, Dosrius to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. The Montalt hill, 594 meters high, is the highest point in our district. The vegetation is formed
basically by pine and oak forests in the mountainous sector.

At the other end is Port Balís with the municipality's 3 beaches: les Barques beach, l'Estació beach and balís beach, which are ideal both for your well-being and for leisure and dining. In addition to nautical activities, the town has hiking or mountain or road bike routes, and some of the best spaces dedicated to golf: the Llavaneres Golf Club and the Tennis Mora Pitch and Putt.

The town also offers an exceptional tour of the most emblematic modernist houses, such as Ca l'Alfaro, the Casa de la Vila or the Museum-Archive of Can Caralt, which has an exquisite art gallery, a room for temporary exhibitions of artists premises, in addition to a private collection of historical utensils from the 19th and 20th centuries.

In addition, Llavaneres has a culinary tradition that is recognized in the local restaurants and shops that bet on a product of quality and proximity. The products stand out: Coca de Llavaneres and Pèsol Garrofal de Llavaneres, both with a guarantee mark that recognizes their quality.
