Museu Arxiu Sant Andreu de Llavaneres
The Museum-Archive is located in Can Caralt, an eighteenth century farmhouse converted into a manor house in the second half of the nineteenth century. The building consists of three sections, two floors, two galleries on the left side plus a loft and extensive gardens.
The museum, situated on the ground floor, has collections of ceramic pieces, numismatics, toys, glass, an ethnographic collection of rural and home life, radios and an extensive collection of cameras and projectors dating from the end of the nineteenth century. An art gallery takes up the entire first floor of the building and includes works of art from painters related to Llavaneres such as Masriera, Durancamps, Tolosa, Vancells and Cardunets, and contemporary Catalan painters including Ràfols Casamada, Antoni Clavé, Miró, Tàpies, Guinovart, etc. There is also a sculpture gallery with works by Borrell Nicolau, Manolo Hugué, Subirachs, Riera i Aragó, etc. In addition, the museum has a room used for temporary exhibitions.
