Whether you are an art lover or not, you cannot miss the baroque altarpiece in the church of Santa Maria, the work of the sculptor Pau Costa, one of the most important and well-preserved in Catalonia.

Near the church you will find two museums: Museu Marès de la Punta, which exhibits an important collection of pieces made with pillow laces, some dating back to the 16th-19th centuries and among the most important in Europe, and the Mollfulleda Museum of Mineralogy, with one of the best and most complete mineral collections in Catalonia.

At the top of Turó de la Pietat, we find the Arenys cemetery. Salvador Espriu turned it into a literary myth with the poetic work Cementiri de Sinera. Inside there are works by renowned modernist artists such as Josep Llimona and Venaci Vallmitjana.

Arenys is inspired by the sea, it is a fishing town with one of the most important fishing harbours and marinas on the Catalan coast. In addition, products such as squid come out of the fishing harbour, to which the municipality dedicates gastronomic days (October-November): the Calamarenys.
