The Maresme with the family in August are Major Festivals, shows and activities
Hello! I am La Coia, although everyone knows me as the grandmother of the Maresme. Surely you have heard of me, I am always up and down the municipalities of the region. And I would like you to accompany me to discover them through their big days, such as the Major Festivals, and all the planned activities.
In August there are many Major Festivals where we can get to know the local culture of the towns in the region. We have the Summer Festival of San Vicente de Montalt and that of Santa Susanna. Malgrat de Mar and Arenys de Mar celebrate the festivals of Sant i Cabrils and Cabrera de Mar that of Santa Helena. Vilassar de Dalt and Palafolls those of Sant Genís. And towards the end of the month, we have those of Tordera, Pineda de Mar and Dosrius.
And let's not forget that they are still in September!! With those of Caldes d'Estrac, Tiana Sant Cebrià de Vallalta and Calella. And what will we find in all these Major Festivals? Performances, concerts, parades, giants, castles... a thousand and one activities to spend a summer of 10!
And among so many parties, going by carrilet is one of my passions, it is the most fun means of transport of all! You can see the towns from your seat in a relaxed way, but learning many things. In addition, in each municipality it has a different name. This summer I have challenged myself to go around each one of them. will you accompany me?
The shows are not only held in the Major Festivals, there are also municipalities where we can see them on the seafront, such as Calella. Every Friday afternoon a different one: circus, magic, songs... very cool! And the Summer Arts festival in Pineda de Mar will close with a Holi Festival, where we will end up full of colors like a rainbow.
But there are also other activities that will amaze you, such as the dramatized visit to the Burriac castle in Cabrera de Mar by the cook of this fortification or the apprentice stamper's workshop at the Premià de Mar Stamping Museum. true professionals!
Have you already made the planning of everything you want to do? I have completed the month of August. But if you still have a hole, be sure to bathe on the Maresme beaches and cool off in the water parks. On days you don't feel like water, try hanging from trees as if you were Tarzan in the adventure parks. And above all, touch, taste, cook and experiment with local food products... a real delight!
