DO Alella Wine Tourism
With a large part of the cultivated surface in peri-urban areas, the DO Alella enjoys a Mediterranean climate, very close to the coast, quite humid and with easy-draining soil that retains solar radiation. Between tradition and urbanity, the vineyards allow themselves to be cradled by the sea breeze, while they scratch the ground and penetrate their roots into the soil.
The Alella denomination of origin (DO) is recognized for the quality of its white wines, both monovarietal and blended.The most characteristic grape variety of the DO Alella is the white raisin, although we also find whites with white garnacha, chardonnay or sauvignon blanc, among others. On the other hand, we find aromatic rosé wines, with Garnacha, Merlot and pink raisin and, to a lesser extent, reds made with the Merlot, Garnacha Tinta, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo varieties, as the most representative.

Wine agenda
Throughout the year various events related to wine are held in the Maresme. In June the Tast Tiana is celebrated, a gastronomic and wine exhibition, in August you have an appointment at the Cabrils gastronomic exhibition and in September with the Harvest Festival of Alella.
Finally, the month of October is reserved for Vi+, where members of the Wine Route organize a wide range of activities and wine experiences for you to discover the Land of Pansa Blanca.
