Museu del Càntir

The Argentona 'Càntir' (Water Jug) Museum preserves and disseminates a large collection of over four thousand water vessels, the vast majority being traditional pottery jugs, which trace a course of nearly three thousand years of human creation, from the Bronze Age to contemporary art. The collection includes various jugs made by Pablo Picasso.

Besides the permanent collection, the museum devotes one floor to thematic exhibitions on the world of water jugs and has a room for temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists.

The museum shop offers publications, reproductions of museum pieces and a wide range of ceramic products.
