Road 7: Santa Susanna - Turó de l'Home

A long and particularly interesting route crossing the coastal uplands, the northern plains of El Vallès via the Tordera river valley and the Montseny massif, to the Osona basin. From here it returns to the starting point, following the winding roads of the Guilleries Mountains, offering outstanding views of the coastal and pre-coastal mountains of northeastern Catalonia. Along the route we experience successive changes of flora and landscape, ranging from characteristically Mediterranean to those more typical of cooler and wetter regions. The verdant woodlands of the Guilleries are particularly worthy of mention, with their great expanses of fir, oak, beech, chestnut and holm oak. The climb up to Collformic should be noted, with inclines of between 7% and 12% over the course of approximately 6 km.
