Stage 3 - Camino de Santiago (Way of St James) Via Marina

Here we have the first coastal stage of the Via Marina. The 29-km route connects the regions of La Selva and Maresme through the coastal municipalities of Lloret de Mar, Blanes, Malgrat de Mar, Santa Susanna, Pineda de Mar, Calella and Sant Pol de Mar.

The pilgrim will be captivated by the beauty of the southern coast of the Costa Brava between Lloret de Mar and Blanes, by the bird life of the Tordera delta, and by the agricultural areas and Maresme coast. Walkers will make the pilgrimage following the promenades of the towns in Maresme and will be able to visit vestiges of the Jacobean past including the hospital of Calella and the church of Sant Pol de Mar.

The route has signposts indicating the Camí de Sant Jaume in the sections that run along the coast. However, there are no signposts on the sections where the route diverges from the coast. It is therefore advisable to follow the route with the help of Wikiloc.
