El Rocar (SLC-96)

 

Circular route, signposted as a local path (white on green), SL-C 96, which runs along tracks and paths through the eastern part of the municipality of Tiana, the ridge of the Rocar and the surroundings of the hermitage of the Mare de Déu de l'Alegria. It is in the vicinity of this hermitage where the Roman nucleus of Villa Tiziana would have been located, origin of the town of Tiana, and that still today contains a group of attractive and imposing farmhouses. The path passes through pine forests, vineyards and farm fields-a gentle Mediterranean landscape but with a couple of steep sections. A pleasant rural walk right next to the Barcelona conurbation.
