El Pla de Forcs
El Pla de Forcs (SLC-105)
The soaring western flank of Montnegre is anchored in the Vallalta basin. The luxuriant greenery of the holm oak grove, the extension of cork oak and the slate summits endow it with its peculiar-yet harmonious-leafy green velvety appearance.
This is an area where it is not uncommon to find everything from megalithic monuments to Iberian settlements.
The mountain was intensely exploited until the middle of the 20th century. The centuries of coexistence in a mountainous environment have given place names related to the work of both forest and farm.
We find the starting point at the crossroads of the second entrance to the Can Bosc summer camp house. To reach this point from the center of town, we can follow the GR-5.
