Route to the origins of Pineda de Mar

A route through the valley of the Riera de Pineda, place of settlement of the first Iberians and Romans who inhabited this area.

This circular route will allow you to see farmhouses and stately homes such as Can Jalpí, from the 14th century, or Can Roig, where the remains of a Roman villa were located, as well as several aqueducts, such as the Roman aqueduct of Can Cua, the Devil's Bridge or Sant Pere de Riu, which is the continuation of the Can Cua aqueduct. Along the route you will also pass the parish of Sant Pere de Riu, the Can Marquès flour mill and the Can Marquès lime kiln.
